Rosaria Conte is head of the Division "AI, Cognitive and Interaction Modelling" at CNR, Italy. She teaches social psychology at the University of Siena. Her main backgraound is on pragmatics of communication and cognitive science. Her publications are both in the area of Multi-Agent Systems and Agent Theory, and in agent-based simulation. Her research interests include formal computational study of coalition formation, social dependence, norms representation and reasoning, and the role of cognition in the propagation of norms.

Scott Moss is the Director of the Centre for Policy Modelling in Manchester Metropolitan University. His research focuses on the development of methodologies and techniques for computational modelling of social and other complex systems. Currently he is working on canonical task environments which support replication, comparison and evaluation of a range of published simulation models within a single simulated environment, various projects integrating physical and social modelling and intelligent information agents that autonomously develop information markets. He has published two books trying to point out to economists how they might do good science (he failed) and edited a third book on economics and artificial intelligence. He has published numerous papers on economic theory, history and methodology and, more recently, on social simulation software and methodologies applied to organizations, robotics, drinking and transition economies.
