Magda Fontana is assistant professor of Public Economics at the School of Law - Department of Economics - of the University of Turin. She works mainly on the history of simulation in social science and on the complexity of economic phenomena. In previous research she has used agent-based modelling to appreciate the evolution of conventions in a game theoretic framework, the search processes in the labour market, the influence of institutions on the exchange process, and the robustness of behaviour across learning algorithms.
