François Bousquet is a modelling scientist with Cirad. He is focusing on the development and the use of Multi-Agent Systems for the simulation of renewable resource management issues. Through the development of a specific platform for building Multi-Agent Systems to simulate Common-Pool Resources systems, CORMAS, he has taken part in many experiments dealing with simulation and environmental management, mainly in developing countries.

Robert Lifran is an Economist with a Phd in Economics from the University of Montpellier, currently Senior Fellow Researcher at INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research ). He also teachs at the University of Montpellier and at ENSAM. His main field of research is public policies implementation and coordination in the domain of environment, landscape and biodiversity preservation. He used to build dynamic models of agricultural households, and of forest owners, under a liquidity constraint.

Mabell Tidball was born in 1960, obtained her PhD degree in Mathematics from the Universidad Nacional in Rosario, Argentina, in 1991. She was a member of the CONICET (Argentina's National Council for Research in Sciences and Techniques) 1995-1999. She is at present in a research position at the department of economics of INRA (Institut National de Recherche en Agronomie) in Montpellier, France. Her main subjects research are on control, game theory and its applications in economic problems.

Sophie Thoyer is a senior lecturer at the department of agricultural economics at ENSAM, Montpellier. She has a PhD in economics from the University of London and worked as a lecturer for three years in the department of agricultural economics at Wye College. Her main research work focuses on the political economy of agricultural and environmental reforms, with a particular focus on the modelling of negotiation processes both at the local level (water management) and at the international level (WTO, convention on biological diversity)

Martine Antona, born in 1960, graduated in development and natural resources economics at the University of Montpellier. She has been working since 1989 on economical and social interactions between societies and common resources. Her field of interest and current works is the use of MAS for understanding and simulating natural resources management schemes.
