Wendelin Reich

Wendelin Reich earned his Ph.D. from Uppsala University, Sweden, in 2003, with a social psychological dissertation on the problem of how individuals share knowledge through social interaction. His current research aims at developing an agent-based model of two-party argumentation. The agents are formalized in defeasible logic and implemented in Prolog. They are then used in order to simulate and understand the abductive reasoning by means of which arguments (which tend to be logically incomplete) are converted into defeasible proofs.
