Franziska Klügl works in the area of multiagent systems for simulation modelling since 1995. As part of her PhD thesis she developed a tool for visually developing multi-agent simulations based on declarative behaviour representation, called SeSAm. Since 2001 she has been working as an assistant professor at the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University Würzburg. Her research interests include methodology and tools for multi-agent simulation and their application in traffic and biological domains. She is involved in projects concerning traffic modelling, starting with the SOCIAT project (Social Agents in Traffic Simulation) since 1999.

Ana L. C. Bazzan has worked in the area of multiagent systems and transportation since 1993 when she started her PhD thesis at the FZI / Univ. of Karlsruhe, Germany (SAPPORO project, a tool for traffic simulation). In 1997 she published her thesis on using game-theoretic techniques for coordination of traffic agents. Since then she has been involved in several projects focussed on related issues. Since 1999 she is an adjunt professor with the Computer Science Institute at the UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul), Brazil and has been involved in the organization of several events such as the III Ibero American Workshop on DAI and MAS; the I and II Brazilian Workshop on Bioinformatics; the XVII Brazilian Symposium on Artificial Intelligence; and the III AAMAS. Her research interests include: Use of Game-Theoretic Paradigms for Coordination of Agents, El Farol Bar Problem, Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma, Multiagent Systems for Bioinformatics, Traffic Simulation, and Artificial Life.
