Angela C.M. de Oliveira

Angela de Oliveira is an Assistant Professor of Resource Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. de Oliveira’s research examines what makes decision makers different from each other and how this can be accounted for by policy. She uses controlled laboratory techniques to determine the robustness of how individual and societal differences affect behavior.

Sheheryar Banuri

Sheheryar Banuri is an Economist with the Development Research Group, and director of the Behavioral Science Lab, at the World Bank. His research focuses on public sector and governance in developing countries and is at the intersection of policy, economics, and political science. He uses a combination of laboratory and field experiments to study the impact of economic incentives and policy interventions on effort, motivation, and corrupt behavior in the public sector. He has conducted independent field research in the Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Pakistan, and the US.
