Adam Zagorecki

Adam Zagorecki is a Research Officer at the Department of Engineering Systems and Management, Cranfield University, Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. He is pursuing Ph.D. in the field of decision analysis at the Decision Systems Laboratory University of Pittsburgh. His interest in agent based simulation in context of emergency management has been developed during his collaboration with the Interactive Intelligent Spatial Information System (IISIS), at Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh.

Kilkon Ko

Kilkon Ko is an assistant professor of Department of Political Science at the National University of Singapore. He completed his Ph.D. in public and international affairs at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. He is a winner of 'the Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award' of Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management (APPAM) in 2006. He has studied advanced quantitative methods, regulation, decision-making, network analysis, comparative public administration, and Chinese corruption.

Louise K. Comfort

Louise K. Comfort is a Professor of Public and International Affairs and Director of the Center for Disaster Management at the University of Pittsburgh. She teaches in the field of public policy analysis, information policy, organizational theory, and sociotechnical systems. She holds degrees in political science from Macalester College (B.A.); University of California, Berkeley (M.A.), and Yale University (Ph.D.). She is Principal Investigator, Interactive, Intelligent, Spatial Information System (IISIS) Laboratory, 1994-present: http://www.iisis.pitt.edu. Her current research is focused on modeling the processes of early detection and communication of risk for near-shore tsunamis and on visual representation of risk to emergency managers.
