Alex Haxeltine

Dr Alex Haxeltine is an inter-disciplinary researcher with a background originally in the physical sciences and ecology. His core intellectual interests are in the relationship between worldview and sustainability and the implications of a shifting worldview for a sustainable development and associated sustainability transitions. He is currently leading work on developing a new generation of modelling tools for exploring sustainability transitions in the European MATISSE project.

Lorraine Whitmarsh

Lorraine Whitmarsh is Senior Research Associate at the UK Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of East Anglia. She completed her PhD, A study of public understanding of and response to climate change in the South of England, in 2005 at the University of Bath. She is currently employed on a European project, entitled MATISSE (Methods and Tools for Integrated Sustainability Assessment) in which she is researching processes of innovation and behaviour change in transitions to sustainability and contributing to the development of transition models to support sustainability policy-making.
